Impregnated pine products last for decades
PrimaTimber’s pressure‑treated wood is fully impregnated all the way to the core, providing excellent protection against rot. With proper maintenance, terraces, docks, and stairs made from pressure‑treated wood will remain attractive for many years.
The wood is treated in Class A or AB
Impregnation Class A:
For ground contact and/or locations exposed to moisture, such as load‑bearing structures in terraces and docks (products with a thickness of 48 mm or more). You can recognize them by the white “A” marking.
Impregnation Class AB:
For above‑ground constructions, such as decking and dock surfaces (products with a thickness under 48 mm). You can recognize them by the yellow “AB” marking.
Pressure‑treated decking boards should be installed with the heartwood side facing up — in other words, “the heartwood towards the weather”. This helps reduce the wood’s natural movement and the formation of cracks. Please note that cracks in wood products cannot be completely avoided.
